Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2025. Your devotional data is private, sacred, and never sold.
1. What We Collect
We collect only what is needed to provide your sanctuary: your email address for authentication, the Bible questions you ask, and your saved journal entries and devotional preferences. We do not collect browsing history, location data, or device fingerprints beyond what is necessary for secure authentication.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your questions and journal entries are used solely to provide AI-generated scripture responses and to maintain your personal study journal. We do not train AI models on your devotional content. Your data is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the core service. Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics may inform feature development.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in Supabase (encrypted at rest and in transit). Authentication uses passwordless magic links with PKCE flow. We do not store passwords. Your journal entries are private by default; you may choose to export or delete them at any time.
4. Third-Party Services
We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting, DeepSeek for AI inference (your questions are transmitted for response generation only and are not stored by DeepSeek), Lemon Squeezy for payment processing, and MailerLite for optional email devotionals. Each provider has its own privacy policy and data processing agreement.
5. Your Rights
You may request a copy of your data, request deletion, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing peace@askthebible.live. We will respond within 30 days. Deletion of your account removes all associated journal entries, devotional history, and profile data.
6. Children's Privacy
The Kids Bedtime feature is designed for children ages 4-12 under parental supervision. Parents create and manage child profiles. We do not collect personal information directly from children. All child profile data is managed by the parent account.
